This was really good but some of it was too much of the same old when it came to Tasha and Trey. Kyron was off the chain with the chase which didn't really seem that necessary. Trina didn't have to go out the way she did either, it's not like it was really her fault what Tasha wanted to do. Trey going back and forth to jail was old quick. Kyra and Rick I just don't know what to say about that. He should've left her alone because she was going thru way too much. Jaz was really wilding, the baby getting killed was messed up but she should've let him handle it. I can't wait to see what happens with the Li's because I can see them coming back. Kaylin is the man though. He held it down even though Trey was there for everyone when Kaylin came through it was like the voice of reason to all the chaos.I'm enjoying the books but she needs to really pay more attention to the series I think. It's like she's rushing or something and you can tell by the flow of them. In most of them they don't link up with what was previously said happened. At one point Kyron is the younger brother and then the older. It was never really told what he'd been up to besides chasing Tasha, who took over for Kay or what happened to Fish and why he went against Marvin. Not even why Marvin left her or if he was the reason behind the club or not. These were just some of the issues. I see the book covers change but no one is working on the editing or typos. Maybe it's just my version won't get the updates I don't know but instead of working on covers maybe the time should be spent on developing a complete story. In all I can't wait for the next book.
Angel and Kay were my favorite and have always been my favorite couple from the series. I have so much love for Kaylin , he did his thing and I love the connection between him and Angel.Who knew Jahara knew the word "proposition" that blew me for some reason a 6 year old, really? lol. I wish there was more of Angel & Kay in the story and hopefully they will have more story time in part 7. Jaz couldn't win for loose and Kyra a.k.a. O Holy One (lol) was interesting and I m looking forward to find out what happens between her and Rick in the next book. I have to admit that I was a little tired of Tasha and Trae mess, I felt that it was a bit repetitive and it was some of the same drama from Justify my Thug and the letters. In the other books I didn't necessarily hate Kyron, but what he did to Tasha made me actually hate him and he got what he deserves. What will Mama Santos think when the truth comes to light. Can't wait for part 7 and Wahida is one of my favorite authors and I had the opportunity to meet her at Essence Fest last year and she was very nice and cool. Keep doing your thing girl and can we have more of Kay and Angel in the next book (lol) I love this series and will always support it. Trae, Faheem, Kaylin, Angel, Jaz, Kyra, Rick, Kyron, & Charli Li are all back!!!!! In "Justify My Thug" Rick found Kyra & is still madly in love with her, but he has a baby on the way by Nina(if you read Golden Hustla then you would know who she is). He is now torn between the person who he thought was dead & the woman who is carrying his seed. Trae has gone to the limit & tried to off Kyron, but he seems to be a cat with 9 lives. Now he is out to destroy Tasha & Trae. Faheem has lost his son due to Oni's greed & he is heartbroken. Jaz sees this is an opportunity to avenge lil Faheem's death & get rid of Oni once and for all. Faheem wants to handle this himself, but his wife thinks she is a thug in women's clothing & wants to take matters into her own hands. Kaylin is stuck between a rock & a hard place because Kyron is blood, Trae is just as close to blood as any brother could be. So what side will Kaylin take? Charli Li, is still trying to get Trae for herself........not if Tasha has anything to do with it she won't. Do these relationships stand to remain strong or do they fall apart? Well, you will have to read "Honor Thy Thug" to find out. Wahida you have done it again!!!!!!!!!
Finally after 2 years of waiting the suspense is finally over, but was it worth the wait? In my humble opinion not really. Trae of Every Thug Needs a Lady has been lost in the last 3 Thug installments. He did not shine for me in this book. This Trae seems clueless and that inner thug of his that we all love is not released. Kaylin was definitely the man of the hour in this book. It is plain to see that he receives respect for his level headedness, loyalty and courage by the mob leaders. He is not afraid to take out his own brother, when unaccepted lines are crossed. Kudos Kaylin.In this book readers are left with more questions than answers and the high points of the book is not really explained or developed (what happened to Tasha's brother? how cut and dry was Trina's murder? whats up with Kyra and Rick? Is Charli going to live? Will Trae get out of prison? The ending was very abrupt, we could have at lease heard about Trae's release from prison. After all the hype with the letters to and from the Macklins and Charli's 50 shades of Trae, we could at lease have been given a book that kept our blood pressures up and our adrenalin pumping. Ms Clark you have very devoted fans, how about you make it a little about us in the next installment and less about your paper. Give us a book that is worth our time and money.
This series was crazy. I love Tasha and Trae together and I hope they make through all obstacles Tasha needs to wise up and earn the respect she deserves. I was tired of Charlie and Kyron. They need to get it together. I was hurt for Faheem. I don't know what to say about Kyra & Rick. Great read
This series gets better and better with each book. The ebooks are to expensive, but I found a used hard back. I don't know how many more books can be written about these friends, but I love every single minute of this series.
